Gold prices are falling, but gold sales are going through the roof – what is the real truth behind these puzzling developments? Is the gold bull market dead, or is the best yet to come? And what are the implications for investors today?

TheStreet has partnered with Casey Research to answer these questions – and more – in an exclusive video event focused on the gold debate that's raging across investment communities worldwide.

Our all-star cast is going to discuss pressing questions investors have including:

  • Is gold likely to drop further or make an aggressive comeback in the near future? How should investors prepare themselves?
  • Why is there such an intense demand for physical gold, despite the fact that the major gold ETFs have been crashing?
  • Should you own gold assets, and if so, which ones? Are ETFs, gold stocks, or mutual funds still safe to buy?
  • How come gold stocks have been absolutely slaughtered compared to physical gold? The surprising reasons why mining stocks are (literally) cheaper than dirt...
  • What will be the "grand finale" of the current market and economic situation? How is it all going to play out?

And much, much more.

We've brought together some of the world's leading authorities on gold so you can finally get the complete story –  key factors that are influencing the gold sector, how the current situation came about, and where the gold price is going…

The Real Story Behind the Recent Gold Drop

Was gold overvalued before the recent plunge… or will it shoot past its previous highs?

Is the gold price being manipulated by the US government… the Fed… JPMorgan?

Should prudent investors stay on the sidelines until gold starts going up again, or load up on the yellow metal now? What about mining stocks?

Those are just a few of the topics our expert team will cover during this event.

They'll deliver some of their best insights and tips, normally reserved for their wealthiest financial clients.

The Global Gold Grab

The discrepancy between paper gold and physical gold has been nothing short of mind-boggling.

While GLD — the SPDR Gold Trust ETF — crashed and burned, and gold stocks are being choked, the US Mint sold 1,000% more bullion in April 2013 than in April 2012.

In Australia, the lines in front of bullion dealers' stores stretched for a third of a mile. In India and China, jewelry stores ran out of gold within a single day.

Central banks, too, have been eager hoarders of gold bullion – buying 536 metric tonnes of the yellow metal in 2012 alone.

How can there be such a huge gap between gold assets and gold itself? What does it mean — and more importantly, what does it mean for you?
